$800+ Million Commitment by Google to Support Covid-19 Crisis Response

Google has committed $800+ million to support Small and Medium sized Businesses (SMBs), health organizations, governments, and health workers on the frontline of this global pandemic. This was officially announced by Google to address some of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak challenges; on March 27. However, with the rise of COVID-19, industries are finding it difficult to sustain the unpredictable PPC Marketing.

To help address some of these challenges, today we're announcing a new $800+ million commitment to support small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), health organizations and governments, and health workers on the frontline of this global pandemic." wrote SundarPichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet.

COVID-19 Crisis Response

$250 Million as Ad Grants

Google offers $250 million in Ad Grants to help the World Health Organization (WHO) and more than 100 government agencies globally for providing critical information about the spread of COVID-19 and other measures. Last month, Google has announced $25 million for the same and this is an increase now. Apart from this, $20 million has offered in Ad Grants to run public service announcements on relief funds and other resources for SMBs. This is for community financial institutions and NGOs.

$200 Million as Investment Fund

A $200 million investment fund that will support NGOs and financial institutions help small businesses with access to capital all over the world. As one example, Google is working with the Opportunity Finance Network in U.S. to help fill gaps in financing for people and communities underserved by mainstream financial institutions. Google already providing $15 million cash grants to non-profits to help bridge these gaps for SMBs.

$340 million as Google Ads Credits

Google is also donating $340 million money in Google Ads credits which will be available to all SMBs with active accounts over the past year. In the Google Ads accounts, one can see the credit notification and this can be used at any point until the end of 2020 across our advertising platforms.

$20 Million as Google Cloud credits

For academic institutions and researchers, Google Cloud credits $20 million to leverage the computing capabilities and infrastructure as they study potential therapies and vaccines, track critical data, and identify new ways to combat COVID-19.

2-3 Million Face Masks

Google revealed that it works with Magid Glove & Safety, to provide the CDC with 2-3 million face masks in the coming weeks. In addition to this, Google facilitates unspecified financial support to help increase production capacity for lifesaving equipment, including face masks and ventilators.

Along with Ads Credits & Cloud Credits, the company has increased the gift match Google communities now, in addition offers for every employee annually from $7,500 to $10,000. Hence Google employees can give $20,000 to the organizations in their communitiesin addition to the donated $50 million.
